Questions

1. We are transfering from California to Fort Bragg. My daughter has been in preschool for over a year now. I was looking at your education sites and saw that she is not eligable for preschool or kindergarden next year. She just turned 4 November 1st. Is there anything I can do to fix this. She will be highly disappointed if she can not continue in school when we relocate. I will be highly disappointed if she has to go through a 4th year of preschool. Thanks for any and all help and information.

Thank you for inquiring at The Fayetteville Wants You Website.

Unfortunately, your daughter will not be able to start kindergarten in the public schools until next year.  You may want to call the Cumberland County Dept. of Education to inquire about next year. The phone number is 910-497-1843

However, this year you may want to look into a program that is like a pre-kindergarten and is all day.  It is called the More at Four Program.

As a military family you might qualify for the More at Four Program.

Thanks again and please continue to visit The Fayetteville Wants You Website.

2. We are looking forward to relocating from Ft. McPherson, GA to Ft.Bragg, summer 2011. However, we are having trouble finding sloping lots in the Fayetteville area to build a home with a walk-out basement. Do you have any recommendations?

There are a number of homes with basements but few with walk in basements.  This is due to the fact that most of our terrain is flat and close to the water table.
There are 39 houses shown to have basements.  We do not have a separate category for walk in basements.  This list includes all.  http://fayettevillencmls.com/fay/maildoc/a005sp3797.htmlThis will allow you to see all properties with basements in Cumberland County.  Since neither square footage nor price range were given, I have included all.
