Who are the utility providers in the area? What's the average cost of utility in the area?
In Hope Mills, where I live, we pay about $150 per month through Progress Energy. Others use PWC and their cost obviously depends on the size of the house.

My husband is going on active orders to Ft.bragg to train soldiers for deployment. His orders say it is an unaccompanied stay.We have a baby on the way and I wanted to know if it was possible to live near the base so he doesn't have to be away from our new born? He still gets housing pay. I just can't imagine staying in VA alone while he is there. Please contact me with what information you can.
Thank you
This should help you decide on some more preferable areas to live in, in the Fayetteville area. As for every state in this country, there are safer areas than others to live in. However, I don't want the crime to deter you from moving to the area of Fayetteville. There are several measures the Fayetteville Police Department takes to ensure the safety of others. Fayetteville is a great place to raise a family. It offers many community wide events to get you and your family involved in as well as many opportunities for military families. I encourage to look at both the Fayetteville Cares website and Army's Army websites for additional information on the Fayetteville area.

What are the nicest neighborhoods?
Hi
Thank you for inquiring about the neighborhoods. After some research the Question & Answer Team has come up with some suggestions.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further assistance. I know moving can be hard to do especially when you are so unfamiliar with the area.
Here are some of their suggestions:
1. Haymount is probably the most well-known of Fayetteville's neighborhoods, but it's also on the pricier side. Depending on what you're looking for.
2. Hope Mills is popular for families with ties to the base and has a lot to offer.
3. Anderson Creek Club has a lot of amenities. It is located in Harnett County.
Thanks again for visiting Fayetteville Wants You Website to obtain the information you needed.
Please continue to visit Fayetteville Wante You Website as much as you need.
We are here to help you!
Thanks

Can you point out some neighborhoods for the single young professional crowd to live? Thanks!
We have several great communities. Karen Lakes,Cliffdale Cott,Harbor Pointe, Kings Grant which are condos and townhouse communities that offer pools, clubhouses and golfing. It would all depend on the price range you would like to be in. I am a Realtor and I could assist you in finding a home.
A young professional would like the Lakeshore Neighborhood that consists of condos and luxury Town homes. The prices range from 140,000-210,000. This neighborhood is off of Cliffdale Rd. Please let me know if more specifics. Also, the up and coming neighborhood of South Point in Hope Mills NC centered around the brand new state of the art Millstone 14 Cinema and shoppettes. Also, downtown area is a great place though it is more expensive. And there are some great places off of Ramsey St. In fayetteville as well!!
